The Music Department at Tenby Schools Penang is now in it's sixth year of development and continues to grow rapidly. From the bare classroom (containing one dilapidated piano) that I found when first arriving in 2011, we now have one large classroom with a full suite of electronic keyboards; three practice rooms containing drum kits, guitars, amplifiers and percussion instruments; ten computer workstations running music sequencing and notation software;  and a full programme of instrumental lessons, music CCAs, and concerts held throughout the academic year.

From my first term at Tenby, I was astonished by the level of enthusiasm, commitment, and talent that students demonstrated in music. It has been the students themselves who have adopted and developed the ethos of an inclusive, supportive, and hardworking department where ANY student can take part. Hence,

'Music for Everyone!'
